CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY NOTICE
Williams College Museum of Art 

This correspondence provides an update on the construction for the Williams College Museum of Art (WCMA). 

Work Activities: Construction Enabling and Sitework 

Work Details: 

  • Estimated Mobilization Date: Week of September 23, 2024
  • Enabling and sitework to prepare for the start of construction
  • Work will occur during regular hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

– No Saturday work or extended hours are planned currently. Should this change, a notification will be sent out.

– Limited site activities on 10/14, Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Public Way Impacts: 

  • Deliveries ongoing via the rotary construction access point (Gate A/B)
  • Current bus stop to stay in place until a suitable temporary relocation is installed

General Site Activities: 

  • Establish perimeter site fencing, access gates, contractor parking and signage
  • Selective tree/shrub removal at south and east boundaries
  • Establish and maintain environmental/erosion controls
  • Set up construction offices at former Northside Motel site
  • Removal of existing materials and rough site grading
