The Center for Development Economics (CDE) Residence Hall Construction and Saint Anthony Hall Renovation/Restoration project is a two phased project which includes a new 30 bed residence hall which is defined as phase 1 and the renovation/restoration to the existing Saint Anthony Hall completing phase 2. The new residence hall will be a net zero building and St. Anthony Hall will be a LEED Gold renovation.

Phase 1:

The CDE residence hall is a two story, 30 private bedroom residence hall. This building provides a separate and private living space for the students, away from the academic, administrative and social spaces of the main Saint Anthony Hall (CDE) Building. The construction will begin in the summer of 2017 and is anticipated to be ready for the CDE Fellows to occupy at the start of the 2018/2019 academic year.

Phase 2:

The Saint Anthony Hall Renovation/Restoration Project. The current Saint Anthony Hall building will be renovated to remove all residential components. The kitchen and dining function will be relocated from the west wing to the east wing to better utilize building space.   Additional classrooms, study spaces and offices for faculty and staff will be created in the areas currently used as resident rooms. Restoration of original finishes is being incorporated where feasible. Upgrades to the mechanical systems are planned. The renovation is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2018 with an estimated completion scheduled for the summer of 2019.
