Anticipated Completion:  Spring 2027

The new WCMA is a purpose-built home for the museum, designed by architects SO-IL, to open during the centennial of the museum in the 2026-27 academic year. The board has approved the project to move forward through the design development phase. The program includes expanded gallery and classroom spaces, an auditorium, cafe, and welcoming interior and exterior gathering spaces for students and community. The building is being designed to be a highly energy efficient building, pursuing Living Building Challenge (LBC) CORE Certification.
